Farewell Geoff  - We'll keep up the fight in your name!

It is with great sadness and deep regret that we report the ...passing of Geoffrey Fitzpatrick  at 7.00am 3rd January 2014 - the co-founder and Chairman of the Friends of Dudley Hippodrome. We send our deepest sympathies to Geoff's family and carry on the fight now, sadly, in his memory - R.I.P. Geoff - Please read more here

We are now in the process of achieving  charitable status.

This will enable us to do many things including applying for various grants.  We need to raise £5000 and have already raised over £1000. Can you help us reopen our theatre?  We are asking for donations of  £1 or more from all who want to save Dudley Hippodrome. We will not give up the fight, and with your help and support we will take back and open this amazing building.

Please send donations to Garry Sawers, 12 Avon Close, Pensnett, Brierley Hill, West Midlands DY5 4QX   Cheques made payable to  ( Friends of Dudley Hippodrome )      Please include your details such as email address if you wish to stay in touch, thank  you very much in advance.

10/10/2013 - "Freeman of Dudley Lenny Henry delighted with Dudley honour, but why knock down The Hippodrome?"

Good news, about the council meeting on Monday evening August 5th 2013

Councillors threw the planning application out, infact it has been deferred to a later this space!  We were there of course fighting the cause, placards were being waved, car horns were piping in support. When the decision was made we were delighted. We still have battles to fight, but this one we have won. Save the Hippodrome!
